Here at ATI in Las Vegas we offer some unique career training programs, including:
- HVAC Technician
- Electrical Technician
- Automotive Technology
- Personal Fitness Trainer
Sometimes people ask us how we select our career training programs, so we figured we would answer that question in today’s blog post!
When choosing a new program to offer at ATI, we start with what we a call a Needs Analysis. Essentially we take a close look at which industries in the Las Vegas community need more qualified, trained individuals. In addition to conducting our own in-depth research, we also consult with an advisory board made up of local employers who tell us about what types of jobs they are typically hiring for. Familiarizing ourselves with what knowledge and skill sets are in demand helps us determine what type of training would be helpful to offer ATI students.
The Needs Analysis process is important because we want to be sure that there will be enough job openings for our students to apply for once they complete their program. The last thing we want is our students putting in the time and effort to prepare for a new career just to discover that there are no jobs requiring their new knowledge and skill set available for them when they graduate!
In addition to our own desire to place our students in jobs in their field of study upon program completion, we are held to high job placement standards by an accrediting body called the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). In order to maintain our ACCSC accreditation, we are not only required to graduate a large percentage of our students, we are required to place the majority of our graduates in careers that are relevant to their field of study. So when we choose a program to offer, we want to make sure that we select one that will prepare graduates for in-demand jobs.
To summarize, we choose our programs based on what kinds of jobs are in demand locally. So if you live in the Las Vegas area and you want to land an in-demand job, you should consider attending ATI! Contact us today to learn more about our programs and follow us on Facebook!
