We Just Got NATEF Certified!

We at ATI are so proud to announce that our Automotive Technician Program recently received accreditation from the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF)!

Since we first launched our Automotive Technology program in 2012, we have been working hard to achieve the prestigious NATEF accreditation. Keep reading to learn more about NATEF accreditation and why we are so thrilled about this momentous event.

What is NATEF?

NATEF is an independent accrediting body that was first established in 1983. The goal of NATEF is to improve the quality of automotive technician training programs in schools across the United States. In order to achieve this mission, NATEF closely examines the quality of training programs in secondary and post-secondary public and proprietary schools across the nation. NATEF then compares each school’s program to industry standards. In order to meet NATEF accreditation requirements, schools must demonstrate that their programs prepare students with the skills they need to succeed in the automotive industry.

Why Is NATEF Accreditation So Significant?

NATEF accreditation is beneficial for both students and employers. Students enrolled in NATEF accredited programs can rest assured that they will receive a quality education and that they will be prepared for entry level work after graduation. Employers can hire graduates from NATEF accredited programs with confidence that they are well prepared for the job.

But the benefits of NATEF accreditation don’t stop there–when schools like ATI receive NATEF accreditation the entire automotive industry improves. When our nation’s automotive technicians are trained in programs that are held to high standards such as those laid out by NATEF, the automotive industry is brought to a new level of professionalism.
